AAMS – now dismantled - decided as follows: on two Mondays, 3th and 17th of December, online casino gaming fans will have the opportunity to try online slots in Italy for the very first time. AAMS also decided that, if the tests meet people’s expectations, online casinos will offer slot games at full speed starting from January 2013.
Since they have legally entered in Italy through the assignment of the first licenses issued by the “Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato” (July 2011), the “made in Italy” online casinos have never offered one of the most famous games particularly loved and desired by gamblers from all over the world, both in online and terrestrial gaming rooms: the slot machines. However, things are changing, though we’ll have to wait for at least six months. Over the last few days, in fact, AAMS has given the green light to this online casino’s game; starting from December, players will be able to try it, and they will start playing at full speed starting from January 2013 if the tests are considered valid and satisfying. Of course, Betway and All Slots online casinos in possess of AAMS license won’t miss their opportunity with online slots.
Online slots: appointment on December, 3
Starting from 3rd December, we will have the possibility to play slots in Italian online casinos. It will be just a taste, an initial test followed by another trial two weeks after, namely on Monday, December 17. If the tests won’t be too much difficult or problematic, as it actually occurred with the introduction of online poker cash game, online slots will start operating starting from the next year.
Italian dealers have been waiting for so long for this news, since slot machines, taken individually, could provide over half of the entire collection. Some analysts even say that online slots could generate 900 million euros per month, currently inconceivable numbers in the field of AAMS’s online casinos.
Furthermore, these numbers will draw this gambling sector to online poker, whose numbers in Italy are constantly higher.
AAMS’s measure concerning the introduction of online slot machines in Italy has been one of the latest regulations of this body: AAMS, in fact, has been dismissed through a ministerial decree issued by Monti’s government that, with an eye to the cuts in public expenditure, decided to combine the functions of the Monopolies with the Customs Agency.
However, this shouldn’t mean any delay for online slots in the Italian virtual gaming rooms. Operators have been cautious, since they remember the delays that have often regarded online poker cash game and online casino games. We must wait for December and see whether promises are actually kept.
